DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Pharmacy Technician 1 is accountable for assisting pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, preparation and distribution of medications for patient administration. These activities include but are not limited to: (1) patient specific medications; (2) floor stock pharmaceuticals; (3) controlled substances; (4) and other defined systems. Pharmacy Technician 1 encompasses Pharmacy Technicians working in the retail environment. All assigned activities are performed under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager.Essential FunctionsAccurate preparation of patient medicationsAccurate and timely delivery of patient specific medicationsInventories, replenishes, and maintains drug stockAssist the Pharmacist with medication/patient care related issuesRequired For All JobsPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
