  Job duties include:

  Oversees all inventory within the pharmacy hospital and clinics

  Coordinates medication orders and distribution

  Account holder to multiple different vendors

  Job Summary

  Responsible for overseeing the inventory in hospital pharmacy, communicating and placing medication orders for regional clinics, managing drug shortages, coordinating Minnesota Vaccines for Children program. Responsible for the buying pharmaceuticals. Works daily with many different departments in determining their needs and places order for those items using appropriate contracts/vendors.

  Works closely with the pharmacy leadership and clinic staff to assure the availability of necessary medications.

  Maintains a list of drug shortage medications. Works alongside pharmacy department leadership to determine strategies to address drug shortages.

  Responsible for overseeing product recalls in pharmacy and for providing information on recalled items in a timely manner.

  Other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications

  High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Associate degree or post-secondary education and previous inventory experience preferred.

  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Inventory management systems knowledge helpful.
