Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky. The clinical pharmacist will serve in both clinical and administrative capacities to support hematology/BMT service lines in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings. This Hematology/Oncology Clinical Pharmacist will provide comprehensive, patient centered pharmacotherapy for the inpatient and outpatient H/O service lines, including therapeutic drug monitoring, drug regimen review, patient education, and medical staff interactions. The pharmacist will lead REMS initiatives for hematology/oncology and cellular therapy products, oversee implementation and compliance with REMS program requirements, and work in collaboration with hematology and cellular therapy leadership and other disciplines to optimize complex cellular therapy workflows. The pharmacist will be expected to contribute to the scholarly productivity of the enterprise through clinical research, quality improvement, presentations, publications, etc., uphold UK Healthcare core values, and maintain effective teamwork with pharmacists, residents, technicians, interns, physicians, nurses, allied health staff, and others. The ideal candidate will have graduated from an ACPE-accredited school/college of pharmacy, completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency (or equivalent experience), completed an ASHP-accredited PGY2 oncology residency, and must be eligible for licensure in Kentucky. Clinical practice experience and board certification in oncology pharmacy (or board eligibility) is preferred.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of inpatient and outpatient pharmacy workflows; understanding of pharmacy information systems and automation; and knowledge of pharmacy and healthcare related regulations and standards.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
