　　Inpatient position, 20 hours per week, Days/Evenings/Nights, including some weekend and holiday hours.

　　Main Function:

　　In cooperation with the Medical Staff, the Health System and Director of Pharmacy, participates in programs and procedures designed to promote the appropriate, safe and effective use of medications for Thompson Health patients and residents.

　　Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.

　　Demonstrates the knowledge & skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.

　　Possessing an in-depth knowledge of medications and their uses.

　　The staff pharmacist will provide professional services and support in the following distributive and clinical areas:

　　Medication distribution and compounding

　　Drug Information

　　Education and Resource Materials

　　Formulary Management/Drug Usage

　　Adverse Drug Reactions

　　Medication Error Prevention

　　Nursing/Pharmacy Liaison

　　Clinical Computer Applications

　　Medication Use Evaluation

　　Program Development and Implementation

　　Flexibility is required

　　Qualifications:

　　Current New York State licensure and registration required

　　Accredited continuing education as required/defined by New York State

　　Bachelor’s degree or Pharm. D from accredited pharmacy program required

　　Master’s prepared preferred

　　BCPS preferred

　　1-2 years of hospital, nursing home or institutional experience preferred.

　　Pay Range: $53.30 -$60.00

　　Starting Pay Rate: Based on experience
