This role is Hybrid (In-office + Work at Home), Nashville, TN. The ASHP/AMCP-accredited residency program in The Cigna Group’s Cigna Healthcare Government Pharmacy Department focuses on developing the skills needed to assume a pharmacy leadership role within a Managed Care Organization (MCO). As an accredited program, Cigna Healthcare participates in the ASHP Match process. The Pharmacy Resident matched to the health plan will gain a clinical and operational perspective of the roles and responsibilities of healthcare professionals within an MCO. The goal of the one-year residency is to provide a resident with learning experiences that enhance their problem-solving skills, advance proficiency in multiple managed care pharmacy principles, and accelerate leadership skills.
Minimum Requirements:
4th year (Graduation year) or PharmD. degree from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy
Pharmacy Licensure in any US State (within 90 days of residency start)
Proficiency in Microsoft office, specifically Microsoft excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency in written and verbal communications
Strong career interest in Managed Care pharmacy
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
