Personal Trainer - Harvard Recreation (Cambridge, MA)
Part-time, 5+ hrs/wk
Harvard Recreation, managed by HealthFitness, is looking for a Personal Trainer to join the fitness team on campus in Cambridge, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting fitness testing and assessments, advising participants of results, providing one-on-one personal training to members participating in the program, and educating them about the fundamentals of strength and cardiovascular training, as well as the proper and safe use of applicable equipment.
Hours based on scheduled training sessions.
What you'll be doing
Providing one-on-one, buddy and/or group personal training.
Provide a detailed orientation that addresses the aerobic, strength and flexibility components of the exercise program. Educate about the fundamentals of strength and aerobic training, as well as the proper and safe use of equipment.
Administration tasks that include, but are not limited to: keeping good client records, scheduling sessions independently, inputting sessions for payroll, attending monthly meetings, etc.
What's Needed:
Current Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider.
1+ years of of Personal Training experience.
Current Adult CPR/AED certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
