We are seeking PSWs for a Retirement home in Bradford. Day, evening, and night shifts are available. We are seeking casual individuals who are available to pick up shifts and work scheduled shifts as needed. Hours can vary from casual to full-time based on facility needs.

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Providing resident-focused care that meets the needs of residents

Maintaining open communication with residents and their families

Assisting with personal care including eating, dressing, transferring, toileting, hygiene, grooming, and bathing as per residents’ care plans

Monitoring and noting any changes to patient care plans

Providing medication support and management

Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support  

Providing oral and dental care  

Responding to all emergency situations

All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

PSW certification (NACC certificate required if graduated from a private college)

Valid CPR certificate completed within the last year*

Completion of Police Vulnerable Sector Check

Satisfactory professional references

Previous experience in a LTC or Retirement facility is required

Experience using Point Of Care (POC) is required

Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions

Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
