Job Summary:A caregiver is responsible for providing direct care to patients at their private residents or retirement communities. He/she will make a significant contribution to our success in in fulfilling our mission to provide compassionate, dedicated and reliable care in the most dignified manner. He/she will help the patient with Activities of Daily Living, Light housekeeping, perform some household errands, Report directly to Nurse Manager and Documentation as required.

Provision of Personal Care Services , provided according to the written client activity plan,which may include:o Provide care related to Activities of Daily Livingo Provide a safe and clean environment for each patiento Observe and report any physical or emotional change in condition to the nurse managero Perform each task with appropriate infection control practices and observe universal precautions o Perform light housekeeping and complete laundryo Prepare light meals and nourishments for patiento Provide exceptional customer serviceo Perform medication reminders.o Run errands to pick up medications, grocery shopping and doctors' appointments.o Demonstrates an understanding and support of patient Rights.o Maintain client confidentiality & Rightso Reading/recording temperature, pulse, respirationo Perform ONLY those services specified for each individual client on their activity plan.o Respond to the physical, emotional and development needs of clients.o Follow emergency procedures in the event of any incident, ie. accident, injury or significantchange in client's condition.o Follow instructions, is punctual and is at work as scheduledo Follow all applicable agency policies.o Attend in-service education annually per agency policyo Show interest, asks questions and seek help as indicated; is receptive to supervision o Develop relationships and is cooperative with client, family and supervisoro Maintain appropriate appearanceo Is productive and uses time efficientlyo Follows instructions, is punctual and attendance is acceptableo Is self-reliant and plans appropriatelyo Other duties as are reasonably assigned
