About the Role
The GPSA (Global Planning, Strategy & Analytics) team powers data-driven decision making across Uber's Community Operations (CommOps) team. As the Global Performance Management Analytics Lead on the Global CommOps Team, you will shape and influence a world class experience for our customers interacting with support at Uber.
This position is dedicated to supporting the Community Operations Pay For Performance (P4P) team. The P4P Program ensures the Community Specialist Team members' performance is recognised and rewarded financially. P4P is a recognition of both the employee's contributions during the bonus period and the employee's commitment to apply the feedback received in continuing to service customers.
The analytics lead will be dedicated to the Metrics-Driven Scorecard (MDS) part of P4P. MDS is applicable for roles that have mostly quantifiable targets and measurable results. The MDS P4P team runs this process, calculating the performance of our Community Specialist Team employees to award fair and just bonuses to compensate their efforts.
As the Performance Management Analytics Lead, you will be a trusted partner to the program team, help shape the program and co-create the strategy for MDS going forward.
For this role you should have excellent analytical skills, great coaching skills, time-management and organizational habits, and the ability to clearly communicate and present information for stakeholders at all levels of the business.
What you will do
In close partnership with the P4P Program team, help create the vision and strategy for P4P MDSGuide the MDS analytics team members to execute the operational work and support with arising questionsBe the leader to improve ongoing processes and identify operational weaknesses, to ensure the program stays fair for all participantsConduct analysis to provide data-driven recommendations for program improvementsOptimise and find efficiencies in the recurring work delivery processSupport with moving new business areas and lines of businesses to the P4P methodology
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or a similar roleBA/BS/Masters in Economics, Business, Engineering, Operations Research, or other quantitative focus (or equivalent work experience)Exceptional Excel/Google Sheets and data management skills, with proficiency in SQL.Demonstrated strategic thinking ability, able to think out of the box and identify opportunities.Detail oriented, able to understand complex systems and consistently meeting project milestones.Skilled in structured working, adept at simplifying complex problemsExperienced with stakeholder management, can manage difficult stakeholders of all levelsClear communication, proficient in both verbal and written communicationQuick learner, highly adaptableAble to structure a project from idea to design/prototype to implementationTeam management / coaching experience

Experience in performance management / incentive compensation designExperience with Python, TableauAbility to write complex SQL queries
