Job Title: Behavioral Health Specialist - Community Based

　　Bachelor's Degree: $19.50 - $21.59 per hour

　　Master's Degree: $21.30 - $23.29 per hour

　　Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

　　Provide emotional & behavioral management, problem behavior analysis, support the development of interpersonal & social independence and restore stability.

　　Provide clients and their families with goal-directed community based services and solution-focused interventions intended to address challenges associated with a behavioral health need and to achieve identified goals or objectives as set forth in the client’s treatment plan.

　　Provide all identified services within the context of the child and family environment; this is likely to include the child’s home, school or preferred community location. Telehealth services offered as appropriate and aligned with regulatory and program procedures.

　　Provide rehabilitative psychoeducation to the client/family so as to identify strategies or treatment options with the goal of minimizing the negative effects of symptoms, disturbances and stressors.

　　Assist the child/family with identifying strengths, needs, resources, and natural supports to address and minimize their functional deficits.

　　Provide rehabilitative support to minimize the negative effects of behavioral health symptoms by focusing on life safety skills, basic safety practices and physical and behavioral health care.

　　Work collaboratively with the child and family system of care which could include, Behavioral health clinic, Residential, Foster Care, Preventive services, Health Homes, Care Coordination, school districts, and primary care physicians.

　　Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, scheduled supervision, adhere to all program procedures, including understanding and meeting Productivity Expectations

　　Complete progress notes via Electronic Clinical Record (ECR) within 24 hours of service provision.

　　Understand and adhere to Gateway's Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics, providing professional and meaningful interventions and interactions.

　　Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, and community contacts

　　Qualifications

　　Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of experience providing supportive services to children/ adolescents and their families.

　　Master’s degree in human services with a minimum of 1 year experience

　　Valid New York State driver’s license and adequate auto insurance coverage
