We are seeking a Peer Specialist to join our team at our program in Philadelphia, PA.Earn $16.41/hour.*Successful candidates will be eligible for a sign on bonus of $250 and a continuing retention incentive bonus up to $250 per quarter (depending on start date) through December 2023, in accordance with the terms of Merakey's Incentive Compensation Plan.Position DetailsThis role provides flexible, community-based services that are designed to promote the empowerment, recovery, and community integration of individuals who have mental health challenges and possible physical disabilities. Outcomes are reached by:facilitating opportunities for individuals receiving services to direct their own recovery and advocacy process.teaching and supporting the acquisition and utilization of skills needed to facilitate the individual's recovery.promoting the knowledge of available service options and choices and the utilization of natural resources in the community.helping facilitate the development of a sense of wellness and self-worth.To fill out an on-line application:

Requirements
REQUIRED:Possess personal experience helping a child (own child, family member, etc.) navigate the behavioral health system and have the ability to utilize their unique recovery experience to provide opportunities and supports for children and/or adolescents facing similar challenges.Knowledge of behavioral health, long-term support and service systems, and resources in greater PhiladelphiaAbility to document effectively to meet policy and standards.Strong time management and organizational skillsPREFERRED:Peer Support Certification
