The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is recruiting Pediatric Hospitalists to join our hospitalist team in the cardiac step-down unit at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH). The successful recruit will be appointed as Clinical Instructors or Clinical Assistants in the Clinician Educator Line. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

　　Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

　　Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital is a quaternary referral center and is well-resourced with 24 -7 vascular access teams, child life, OT/PT, all pediatric subspecialists, and a fully staffed cardiac intensive care unit with in-house attendings. Our hospital is a leading pediatric heart transplant center, a leading center for ventricular assist devices, and a member of the PAC3 and PC4 collaboratives. 　　This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding group of experienced physicians and APPs providing excellent clinical care to children and adolescents hospitalized with cardiac issues, including heart transplants, patients with heart failure and ventricular assist devices, surgical patients, and patients with arrhythmia.

　　During the day, our Hospitalists are an integral part of a multidisciplinary team of care providers including attendings, experienced APPs, fellows, residents, medical students, nutritionists, case managers, and pharmacists. Night shifts enable autonomy and continuity, and close teamwork with our daytime providers with support by the cardiology fellows. In addition to these clinical opportunities, members of our team have abundant opportunities to participate in resident teaching, quality improvement work, and other long-term professional development projects.

　　The successful applicant must have a MD or DO, be Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatrics, be eligible to receive a medical license in the state of California, and have demonstrated experience in pediatric hospital medicine and academics.

　　Clinical Instructor: $191,000 - 201,000

　　Clinical Assistant: $213,000 - 234,000
