　　Des Moines Public Schools is seeking a Middle School Girls Soccer Assistant Coach.Job Summary:The middle school assistant coach supports the head coach in carrying out coaching responsibilities for the assigned team. They instruct participants in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary to realize a high degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the student athlete shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulization and internalization of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, self-confidence and sportsmanship. Assist the High School Varsity Head Coach in the alignment and implementation of systems and skill development regarding the athletic program.Successful candidates for this position will possess:Valid IA Coaching Endorsement or Coaching AuthorizationPlease see attached job descripton for further information on functions of the position along with educational and experience requirements.
