Scope:The lab tech's responsibility is to provide cross-section analysis on allfinal product to certify that the structural integrity of the printed circuitboards meet the customer requirements. After cross-sectioning either couponsor boards, the lab tech will generate a report that can be sent to thecustomer that provides information relating to the structural integrity of thelay-up and processing of the final product.
2nd shift hours of 3-11:30 PM, Mon - Fri. Initial training required on 1stshift.
Duties and Responsibilities:Evaluate cross section samples in accordance with customer specifications,IPC and Mil specsGenerate cross section lab report and issue NCMR for non-conforming productsPrep micro section sample coupons including: baking, cutting,mounting, grinding, and polishing specimensPerform solderability and steam age testingAssist Final QC in conforming with customer cross section requirements forshippingMust meet all department quality and throughput requirements as well as followall company policies and proceduresMust be flexible in working in various departments as needed and to includeovertime needsNote:The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature andlevel of work being performed by employees, and are not to be construed asan exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required ofpersonnel. Essential Knowledge and Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively employees of other departments concerning thedisposition of cross-sections.Must have the ability to perform the basic mathematical skills (add,subtract, multiply, and divide). Also must be able to demonstrate theability to round-off numbers to the proper digit as identified on theblueprintMust be able to comprehend and use the computer and basic software to generatereports, printout reports, take photos of cross-sections and save to thenetwork. Must be able to send e-mails to appropriate personnel with attachedphotos as necessary.Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Must have very good concentration, must be able remain focused with minorinterruptions.Must have ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may becorrected via eye glasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is requiredannually.
Education and Experience:Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Required Experience:Strong communication skillsDemonstrated experience in a role requiring technical aptitudePreferred Experience:1-2 Manufacturing experienceExperience with aerospace industry or AS9100 or OFAC helpfulPrinted circuit board and quality experience a plus

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a widearray of factors that are considered in making compensation decisionsincluding but not limited to skill sets; experience and training;certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosedrange estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographicdifferential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at ornear the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions aredependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate ofthe current range is:$36,804 - $58,174
Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may applybased on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may beeligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
