Description:

　　Actalent is seeking an experienced Protection & Controls Engineer that will be responsible for the design of deliverables associated with substation P&C design projects supporting large electric utility clients as well as renewable projects.

　　Skills & Qualifications:

　　EIT (REQUIRED)

　　Substation Engineering experience 2+ years (REQUIRED)

　　Electrical Protection & controls (P&C) (REQUIRED)

　　AutoCAD proficiency

　　Relays

　　Substation design experience

　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Perform 12kV to 500kV substation P&C design, including the preparation of drawings, specifications, and estimates

　　Perform careful self-checking reviews to ensure the quality of work before it is presented to senior design reviewers

　　Prepare construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and a minimum of errors using computer assisted design (CAD)

　　Perform engineering calculations such AC and DC load calculations required to properly size auxiliary systems

　　Ensure all designs conform to our client’s and industry standards

　　Communicate and coordinate project activities with project manager, client, and others as needed

　　Utilize client and/or company information system to track and update design activities

　　Attend project meetings to understand full scope of work

　　May provide field support during construction

　　Perform other duties as assigned

　　Flexible hybrid schedule (at least 1 day in office to engage with the team)

　　Working on the design and engineering of protection and controls systems of high voltage substations supporting large electric utility clients as well as renewable projects
