A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesStaff SupportAble to perform duties of the PBX Operator and ECC Specialists competently.Able to work in the PBX or ECC during times of staffing shortages.Assisting in scheduling PBX and ECC staff to ensure appropriate staffing level is maintained according to need. Participate in hiring, training and performance evaluation of PBX/ECC staff. Assists in planning scheduled vacations, holidays and sick leave relief for staff as necessary.Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the PBX/ECC departments. Assists in the supervision of staff, working with the Program Manager to identify and resolve personnel and operational issues.Conduct staff education on new policies and procedures.Promotes teamwork and cross functional collaboration.Coordinate/conduct new staff orientation for PBX and ECC, prepare materials and orientation calendar.Performance Improvement/Customer Servicea. Assist Program Manager in responding to customer complaints, problems and concerns regarding NCH communication.Understand performance improvement methodology and participate in department QI/PI.Assist in obtaining and analyzing data for administrative, operational, QI/PI and regulatory purposes.Completes routine drills of staff to ensure competency and compliance with policy and procedure.EducationalAttend staff meetings and other meetings as assigned.Participates in various Committees, as assigned or needed.Maintains knowledge of and educates staff in accreditation standards.Work with Program Manager to maintain up-to-date department policies, operating procedures and emergency protocols. Assist in writing, reviewing and updating department policies and procedures.Communication Systems and ToolsAssist in maintain the hospital telephone system, public address system, in-house pagers, long-range pagers and alarms.
