Description

Hannah Savage with Robert Half is working with an amazing organization in the non-profit sector who strives to make a positive impact in our community! Seeking a dedicated Payroll/Benefits Coordinator to join the team and support their mission. The Payroll/Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, benefits administration, employee onboarding, and other HR-related tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll and benefits administration, with experience using Paychex software being a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using Paychex software.

Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other organizational benefits.

Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of offer letters, new hire orientation, and completion of necessary paperwork.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR files.

Assist with employee relations issues and provide support for HR policies and procedures.

Generate payroll and HR reports as required.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

Support the HR team with various administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.

Proficiency in using Paychex software is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of payroll practices, benefits administration, and relevant employment laws.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Non-profit industry experience a plus
