Description We are offering a contract for a proficient Payroll Tax Analyst in Miramar, Florida, with the potential for permanent employment. This role functions within the finance and payroll industry, requiring a strong understanding of compliance, tax accounting, and payroll functions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations.

• Electronically processing tax payments and preparing check requests for state and local taxes.

• Reconciliation of tax liabilities and payments to the general ledger monthly.

• Maintaining and updating tax spreadsheets with information such as taxable wages, taxes withheld, and taxes paid.

• Assisting in the preparation and reconciliation of quarterly and annual state and local reporting.

• Assisting in the reconciliation, printing, and mailing of W-2s.

• Communicating system and tax changes to business end users through clear written and oral communications.

• Researching and rectifying any system errors within the payroll system in accordance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines.

• Building and maintaining relationships with key personnel across different divisions.

• Participating in special projects as required. Requirements • Demonstrable expertise in Payroll and Payment Processing

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Spreadsheets

• Exceptional Customer Service and Communication Skills

• Experience in Reporting and Research Analysis

• Proficient in using 'About Time' software

• Solid understanding of Compliance and Procedures

• Strong background in Finance and Tax Accounting

• Skilled in Reconciliations and Check Processing

• Ability to handle Correspondence and Typing tasks efficiently

• Knowledge of Payroll Functions and Practices

• Familiarity with Tax-related tasks

• Experience in Filing tasks

• Proficiency in using video and printing tools
