About Payroll Director

  Description

  Job Overview:

  As the Payroll Director, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the payroll function for our client's large organization. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, compliance with relevant regulations, and the implementation of efficient payroll processes.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for a diverse workforce of over 3,000 employees.

  Ensure accurate calculation and disbursement of wages, bonuses, taxes, and other deductions.

  Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.

  Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to address payroll-related issues and implement process improvements.

  Manage and lead a team of payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

  Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard payroll data and ensure data integrity.

  Drive the implementation of payroll software upgrades or changes, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.

  Requirements

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPP) is a plus.

  Proven experience as a Payroll Director or in a senior-level payroll management role.

  In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.

  Strong leadership and team management skills.

  Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
