Our reputable client is seeking a Payroll Director to join the company. This Payroll Manager will be responsible for work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies, and will help achieve standards that are necessary for growth within the financial department. What you get to do every single day
Manage processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
Supervise and coach payroll clerks and assistants
Respond to all questions related to payroll and resolve issues
Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
Manage the accuracy of records and prepare reports
Build systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments)
Engage with accounting and Human Resources (HR) teams
Manage payroll tax audits and liaise with auditors
Comply with internal policies and relevant laws
Requirements - Organizational and leadership skills
Previous experience with multi-location payroll and taxes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Seasoned in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
Experience with various payroll applications
Strong understanding of compliance
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
CPP, CPM, or other related professional certifications is a plus
5+ years of payroll experience
2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role
