Description Robert Half has partnered with a growing company in the Government industry who has an opening for a Payroll Clerk who will be responsible for supporting the Payroll department in a variety of duties. This role is based in the Atlanta, Georgia area. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to work with an industry leader on a career path with growth in this challenging position. The company is looking for a candidate to join their dynamic, fast-growing team who can effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk's responsibilities will include data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is a short-term contract / temporary to hire employment role.

　　Key responsibilities

　　Enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system

　　Construct and run custom reports

　　Reach out to employees via phone and email to obtain timesheet approvals

　　Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

　　Supply the organization with instructions/training regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

　　Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

　　Distribute and administer reports as instructed Requirements - Prior Payroll software experience preferred

　　Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

　　Accurate, swift, data entry abilities

　　Comprehensive knowledge of payroll

　　Strong familiarity with Process Payroll

　　Expertise in payroll for over 500 employees

　　Previous payroll experience

　　Great attention to detail

　　Eagerness to master new systems

　　Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
