We are offering a short-term entry-level contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Concord, California. The role involves managing payroll operations in a fast-paced environment and requires a candidate with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle high-volume data entry. with a customer service demeanor.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service communications relating to payroll inquiries

• Manage large data sets in Microsoft Excel for payroll processing

• Accurately enter employee timesheet data into the payroll system

• Verify payroll details to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and quickly pick up new tasks

• Utilize strong organizational skills to maintain orderly payroll records

• Provide service to other employees as it pertains to payroll-related concerns

• Exhibit strong attention to detail in all aspects of payroll functions

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other relevant software to manage and organize data.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Must possess effective customer service skills
