About Payroll Administrator

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Administrator based in Pacific Grove, California. The role functions within the industry of financial services and will require the successful candidate to have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of payroll systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing payroll in line with company policies and legal requirements.

• Maintaining and updating employee records, ensuring all details are correct and up to date.

• Providing assistance with workers compensation claims, as well as the reporting of CalPERS.

• Utilizing software such as Central Square to manage and process payroll tasks.

• Ensuring all payroll activities comply with state and federal regulations.

• Managing the administration of 401k and RRSP.

• Handling various accounting and benefits functions.

• Assisting with check processing tasks as required.

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel to create and maintain financial reports.

• Responding to and resolving any payroll-related inquiries from employees. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.

• Experience with Ceridian software is necessary.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration.

• Familiarity with About Time software.

• Proven experience in Accounting Functions and Benefit Functions.

• Ability to handle Check Processing tasks.

• Experience in Workers Compensation is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• High level of confidentiality and discretion.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous.
