Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Redmond, WA. In this role you will ensure a timely and accurate payroll in the Kronos time capture system for the company’s hourly employees in accordance with the applicable State and Federal statutory requirements, and Heidelberg internal controls and procedures.

What You'll Get to Do:
Work closely with employees and management to ensure time is being recorded and approved accurately and timely.
Compile and enter data into the Kronos payroll software and reconcile errors as needed.
Work closely with Human Resources and managers to ensure that employee records are correct and employee pay is accurate.
Ensure that all proper approvals have been obtained regarding timecards, leave requests, etc. before processing.
Update employee profiles through Employee Services.
Research and respond to employee inquiries about pay.
Recognize, input and code prevailing wage hours correctly into the payroll software.
File required prevailing wage forms and reports, such as intents, affidavits, certified weekly payroll reports and other required documents.
Assist Prevailing Wage Specialist with entering certified payroll.
Work with sales team to understand upcoming prevailing wage jobs.
Other administrative duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline, and experience in the construction materials industry a plus.
At least one year of payroll experience preferred.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
Possess a high level of confidentially and professionalism working with HR, management, and employees.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to learn and retain rules and processes.
Extreme attention to details.
Excellent organizational skills
Unionized payroll experience strongly preferred.
Kronos payroll software experience a plus.
Strong customer service and quality focus.
Positive and upbeat.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
