On behalf of our reputable client, a solid, successful financial institution, we are recruiting for a temporary-to-permanent Accounting Assistant.

Job Description:

Your responsibilities will revolve around managing the recording, processing, and tracking of payments in compliance with the financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and process incoming/outgoing payments ensuring these are accurate and timely.

Monitor accounts to ensure payments are updated and debts are promptly repaid.

Maintain accurate and concise records of all transactions.

Liaise with customers to resolve any payment issues that may arise.

Work closely with the accounting team to ensure all payments align with the financial plans.

Conduct reconciliation of payments and deposits.

Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements

• Applicant must have at least 2 years of experience in an Accounting Assistant role or a similar position.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.

• Experience with ACH Online Banking, and Wire Transfer is preferred.

• Experience with Check Deposit, Cash Payments, and Payment Processing is essential.

• Ability to Post Payments and handle Posting Payments efficiently.

• The candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Must have the ability to work independently and also as part of a team.

• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.

• The candidate must have a high level of integrity and professionalism.

• Experience with financial software and databases is a plus.
