About Patrol Division Inspector

　　This position exists in the Sheriff County Sheriff's Department and involves the responsibility for administering the federal and state Asset Forfeiture Funds within the narcotics unit. The incumbent is also responsible for management of staff and scheduling as well as investigation of narcotics complaints. Supervision is received from the Chief Deputy Sheriff with wide leeway given for carrying out the details of the work. Supervision is exercised over a variety of subordinate staff. Does related work as required.Minimum Requirements: Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college with an associate’s degree and fifteen (15) years of police experience, twelve (12) of which must have been in investigations.
