Description

　　The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with a notable healthcare group in downtown Indianapolis, IN to secure a full-time Patient Registration Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will maintain a positive and professional manner at all times and have strong communication skills.

　　Schedule: M-F 8a-4:30pm

　　Responsibilities for the position include the following:

　　Manage patient movement from arrival to departure in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner.

　　Collect detailed patient information to create accurate financial and demographic records that maximize reimbursement and clinical outcomes.

　　Schedule appointments, gather relevant medical data, and clarify department/hospital charges and policies.

　　Verify and enter charges into appropriate systems, and collect required payments.

　　Respond to incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately.

　　Requirements

　　• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

　　• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA preferred.

　　• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a health care setting preferred.

　　• Requires ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding experience preferred.

　　• Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.

　　• Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
