Shift: Shift 1 JobSummary: As a collaborative member of the team, this role works withintheir designated clinic to care for patients in an enhanced MA role.This position is responsible for engaging the patient in reinforcing theclinical plan of care and chronic disease management within the scope ofMedical Assistant training and in collaboration with the care team.Promotes communication, both internally and externally, to enhance theeffectiveness of medical management services and is highly committed toteam construct. The role will coordinate preventative and chronicdisease care and assist with the coordination of patient schedules andLawson ordering or testing. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCEDESCRIPTION: A minimum of two years of clinical experience is required.Experience working with Electronic Medical records is required.Experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice Clinic is preferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Inaddition, individuals must meet one (1) of the following combinations ofeducation and experience: A.) A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accreditedMedical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate). B.) Agraduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate,diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training. Inaddition to education, one (1) year of formal on the job MedicalAssistant experience preferred. C.) Currently possess and are in goodstanding with at least one of the following credentials: a.) CertifiedMedical Assistant (CMA) b.) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) c.)Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABROE) d.) CCMA CertifiedClinical Medical Assistant program or the completion of an accreditedLPN program.
