JOB REQUIREMENTS: Accountabilities/Duties: Demonstrates knowledge of andbehaviors consistent with the Hospital Code of Business Ethics andCorporate Compliance policies and procedures on a daily basis. Assist nursing staff with patient care toinclude: Rooming patients Applying monitors to patients\'post-op/procedure Assisting patients to the bathroom Informs RN ofpatient needs Demonstrates ability to collect data reflective of thepatient\'s status and communicate to the RN any significant and unusualfindings. Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provideservices within scope of practice and under direction of RN. Completesvitals including blood glucose testing on patients identified by nursingstaff and entering in EMR. Also entering charges for nursing functions.Services food and drink to patients. Assist families to and from thewaiting area. Transport patients to ancillary services such as medicalimaging and rehab services Assist physician/RN with endoscopicprocedures. Positioning of Patient Assist physician during GI proceduresto include set up and troubleshooting of equipment, assisting withspecimen. Preparation and delivery of specimens Biopsy, snare, and otherendoscopy procedures under the direction of the physician Assist with GIScope cleaning and processing. Makes reminder phone calls to GIprocedure patients.
