Under the supervision of an RN/LPN, the individual must perform basic patient care activities - see below.

Monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements and recording intake and output.Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating and ambulation.Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.Education: Requires completion of high school education or the equivalent (GED).

Experience: No previous experience required. The employee will complete a general orientation program of sufficient duration and content to prepare them for specific duties in the hospital within thirty (30) days of hire date. Unit specific orientation is completed on the nursing unit.

Special Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
