How You Will Fulfill Your Potential Responsibilities * Perform all aspects of first-level patient care including promoting hygiene and mobility * Measure and record patients’ vitals such as temperature and blood pressure * Responds to patient/family needs and requests * May assist and support physicians/nurses during routine procedures and treatments * Report all observations, changes in patient condition to responsible RN for timely, appropriate evaluation and response * Prepare hospital rooms * Change patients’ bed sheets, pillows and turning or repositioning patients in their beds * Delivers meals to patients and assist with feeding * Help patients dress and/or assist with toileting needs * Bathe patients * Listen to patients’ concerns, record them and report them to a nurse * Patient companion when needed Qualifications/Experience* * Education/Accredited Programs · High school diploma/GED equivalent required · Medical terminology a plus · Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required; can be obtained after hire Experience/Abilities · Patient care experience strongly preferred · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Communities We Serve Located in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack mountains, Glens Falls is conveniently located a short drive away from the capital region and Lake George.
