Counsel patients on financialarrangements to the best of the abilities of the Clinic, as well asmaintain satisfying personal relations with our patients. SpecializedResponsibilities: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned)* Counsel patients on financial arrangements according to cliniccollection policy. * Set up payment arrangement plans by making patientphone calls. * Work with patients with outstanding self-pay balances.* Communicate with other departments of the Business Office regardingpatient accounts. * Able to work flexible working schedule. * Othermiscellaneous dutiesPerformance Requirements: * * The ability to workwith patients in a courteous and professional manner and alwaysupholding our professional image in very difficult situations *Positive attitude in dealing with people in adverse situations *Ability to work in a fast paced environment * Ability to work tactfullywith patients, physicians, insurance companies, and co-workers. *Excellent communication skills with the patients and fellow employees tomaintain the quality of work needed for thedepartment.Education/Experience/Certifications: * * Collectionexperience preferred. * Knowledge of credit policy and billingprocedures. * Computer knowledge preferred. * Ability to communicatein Spanish preferred * Prior medical experience helpful.Non-EssentialDuties: Work is performed in an office environment.
