Job Description

　　An employer is looking for a Physician Biller/Patient Access Rep in the Los Angeles, CA area. This person will not be patient facing - but will be doing a large amount of data entry of patient demographics into EPIC. They will be creating/onboarding the patient profiles within EPIC and completing the patient registration as needed with all of the insurance information as well. This individual most be knowledgeable of all insurance types and billing as they will assist with claim edits, charge review, and releasing claims for the billing team to process. This will be on-site Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm for a 6 month contract with the potential for extensions. This role will have the potential for plenty of overtime hours!

　　Skills and Requirements

　　-2+ years experience with patient registration in a hospital setting and/or healthcare (physician) billing

　　-Experience with EMR software (Epic, Cerner, Meditech)

　　-Experience with insurances (IPA, PPO, HMO, Medicare, and Medi-Cal)

　　-Proficient with different portals/systems (like Passport, OneSource, or Availity)

　　-HS Diploma or equivalent -Proficient with EPIC

　　-Proficient with Passport for insurance verifications

　　-AA or Bachelor's degree

　　-Medical Billing certification null
