JOB REQUIREMENTS: As a Patient Access Clerk at Amery Hospital & Clinic,you will assist patients in admissions, check-in, registration andscheduling functions, as well as address inquiries via telephone, emailor fax. The Care Model Process (CMP) guidelines are to be utilized andfollowed for all workflows. Primary duties include helping check-inpatients for their procedure/appointments and direct them to theappropriate department/clinic/hospital location; print wrist band andapply to patients per protocol; print patient labels as needed; performbedside registration in ER or inpatient unit; provide appropriate formsas designated by clinical staff and/or standard practice; receive andenter appropriately all patient forms dropped off for completion;determine if the patient needs to be seen to complete the form, and/orhave patient complete their portion of the forms; route forms accordingto standard practice; collects and posts patientco-pays/deductibles/balances consistently and accurately; and assistspatients with any follow up appointments at check out. Work Schedule: .8FTE/32 hours per week. Day/Evening shift from 3-11p with anevery-other-weekend rotation. Required Qualifications: High Schoolgraduate or equivalent. Minimum one year experience in a hospital ormedical clinic setting or equivalent. Experience in a customer servicesetting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge ofmedical terminology. Experience with Microsoft products, Word, Excel,Outlook, etc. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of position related2-year program, such as Medical Administrative Specialist or MedicalOffice Specialist. Experience in EPIC computer system.
