The Switchboard Operator isresponsible for answering all incoming calls to the switchboard;transfers calls to the appropriate department or person; maintains theon-call lists for various departments and physicians; directs patientsand/or visitors to various locations throughout the hospital; performsoverhead paging and beeping as needed.
