SUNY Schenectady County Community College is seeking a part-time Testing Center Coordinator to join their team. Under the general direction of the Executive Director of the Schenectady College and Career Outreach Center (SCCOC), the Testing Center Coordinator provides coordination of all Testing Center activities, policies, and procedures regarding assessment testing, TABE testing, GED testing, make-up testing, and testing associated with workforce development. In addition, the center serves as a recognized GED testing center for NYS Education Department and provides testing services to the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer and proctor tests offered by the Center
Understand and maintain testing policies and procedures for each test offered
Communicate with computer support staff as needed to ensure all technology needs are met
Ensure application of adaptive measures for disabled students based on varied learning and assessment strategies
Act as liaison to SCCOC staff and training providers for testing
Maintain security of tests
Record and report all incidents occurring during testing, including irregularities, facilities problems, examinee or staff concerns
Maintain the Center in a professional manner
Maintain the Center's online scheduling site by providing timely updates
Schedule external exams while prioritizing SCCOC needs
Maintain sufficient hours to accommodate day, evening and weekend schedules
Understand and adhere to FERPA guidelines
Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in education related field plus one year of experience working in higher education or a professional office setting, OR Associate's degree in education related field plus four years of related work experience
Strong collaboration skills are required to be successful in this position
Must be able to pay close attention to detail in a busy environment
Preferred Requirements:
Master's degree

Salary: $17.17 per hour
