  Overview

  St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a part-time RN to join our team on 6E’s Inpatient Surgical unit! We are currently offering day or night shift for this position!! Our patient population is vast, which allows our team to build competence in a variety of skill sets and specialties. Our specialties include:

  Unit/Position Summary

  6 East is a fast-paced 35 bed Surgical unit that is an ideal place to build strong clinical skills while caring for an increasingly diverse patient population.

  Typical RN to patient ratios on this unit are 1:5, with reduced ratios of 1:4 for acuity when necessary. For CNAs, the ratios are typically 1:8-10.

  The Registered Nurse is responsible for:

  Evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.

  Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.

  All newly graduated RNs will be enrolled in our STAR residency program and Bootcamp program as a way to support your clinical journey to becoming a nursing professional.

  For those still working toward a degree, St Luke’s offers tuition reimbursement, and for those who already have their degree in hand, St Luke’s offers assistance in obtaining several advanced certifications (i.e. Med-Surg, Bariatrics, Cardiovascular, and others).

  Responsibilities

  Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

  Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.

  Initiates assessment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.

  Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.

  Manages care of patients.

  Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities

  Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.

  Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.

  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Education: Nursing Degree

  Experience: 1+ years of RN experience

  Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
