PART-TIME ABSENTEE BALLOTING and VOTER REGISTRATION / ELECTION AUTHORITYMultiple positions available. These positions are seasonal, as-needed positions working up to 40 hours per week for several weeks at a time. Applicants must be registered voters in the State of Missouri and declare political party preference. (Returning personnel are eligible for pay increase after working 400 hours the previous year.)
JOB OVERVIEW: Absentee balloting and voter registration workers are employed on a seasonal basis for eight (8) weeks prior to elections and up to one (1) week following to assist citizens voting absentee in the Election Authority building and/or voter registration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet voters, confirm voter eligibility, and process voter through poll padDistribute paper ballot or assist voter with Ballot Marking DeviceAssist disabled voters at their cars for curbside votingEnsures security of ballots in the absentee voting areaProcess absentee ballot applications in MCVR systemUse MCVR system to update voter records to ensure correct ballot style for each voterProcess voter registration cards in MCVR databaseFile voter registration cards in assigned file cabinetPerforms other tasks as assignedAnswers phones on election day as part of Election Authority call center support
