JOB REQUIREMENTS: Parts Counter Sales (Day Shift) Eau Claire, WI, USAReq #473 Friday, January 5, 2024 The Parts Counterperson sells, atretail, parts to all available customers, over the counter, through theshop, or on the phone. We are looking to fill an opening on our Dayshift (7:30a - 4:00p). Responsibilities: Assists walk-in customers inselecting required parts, suggests companion requirements, offersspecials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full productline Pulls purchased parts from stock and orders parts that are not instock Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other relevantinformation Assists outside sales representatives with their ordersAssists service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs inprocess Notifies the Shop personnel and the customer that ordered partshave been received Works in a friendly, professional and efficientmatter when working with all customers, both on the phone and in personas well as with the other departments Ensures that all charge sales aresigned by the customers Keeps current on new products and productupdates Requirements Education: High school graduate or equivalentExperience: One year of experience in a truck/automotive partsdepartment preferred. One year of sales experience. Skills & Abilities:Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information Ability tocommunicate well orally and in writing Ability to use a computer andcalculator Ability to be trained on the computer inventory systemAbility to work well with the public, sometimes with several customersat a time. Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Will spend six to eighthours per shift moving throughout the parts department. Will climbladders to get parts from shelves. Will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl,reach, handle, and feel. Will work closely with the service departmentand therefore will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, andother hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
