The Job
Hartwig is one of the nation's leading distributors for CNC machine tools. A Parts Coordinator contributes to the success of Hartwig by providing customer service to our internal and external customerstotake orders for new and replacement parts for the CNC machines. They research parts, place orders, and proactively communicate the status of the orders. They must have the ability to determine the urgency of the need.
Main responsibilities of this full-time position include:
Responds to requests from customers by answering calls or emailsGathers customer information such as machine model, serial number, part number, etc. to ensure accurate ordering of partsResearches customer requests to identify correct solution and provide quotesOrders entry of specific vendor parts to be validated with Bill of MaterialsPerforms necessary inquiries to expedite orders or fill down machine requestsFollows up on backlog of missed shipments on a daily basisWorks with vendors on credits and invoicesShips product utilizing correct packing procedures to avoid damage to shipmentPerforms accurate cycle countsProvides consistent timely updates to service team members in a proactive mannerThe Skills
Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:
Previous purchasing experience in manufacturing environment preferredAbility to work in an office environment, sitting most of the dayExperience working in Microsoft OutlookAbility to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve, understanding of cause and effectExcellent attention to detail and follow throughStrong interpersonal communication skills and customer relationship building skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a teamThe Organization, The Team and Our Benefits
