The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people, and organizations to achieve more.
Building on this organizational mission, the Global SI (GSI) organization addresses the most influential and biggest services partners in the world. This $1.1T market is dominated by a small number of significant players, that the GSI team prioritizes in order to leverage their influence and scale in enterprise and across industries to accelerate Microsoft Cloud revenue and adoption.
The Partner Technology Strategist (PTS) is at the forefront of our digital transformation efforts for our partners. The PTS plays a critical role in working with partners to align their technology roadmaps with Microsoft's technology priorities that enable customers to realize the vision of Digital Transformation. The PTS is the Technical Owner of Partner’s Business Solutions evolvement and its success on the Microsoft cloud, and responsible to lead partners through cloud transformation with a Technical Sales Challenger mindset as well as Innovation and Tech intensity as leading principles. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 80% from home.

Responsibilities
Solution Architecture and Design :
Drive architecture design sessions for qualified joint sales pursuits for Microsoft copilots and custom Gen AI solutions leveraging Azure AI services.
Proactively influence large, global partners to develop strategic solution using Microsoft cloud Technologies.
Advise partners on solution pricing estimates using published Microsoft pricing tools and Azure pricing calculator
Differentiated Value Proposition
Keep partner’s technical stakeholders updated on Microsoft copilots and Azure AI.
Collaborating with enablement leads to support enablement plan.
Partner with line-of-business leaders or senior executives within a partner organization to articulate the value of Microsoft technology/services to meet future business needs and create and maintain a vision with business and technology solution scenarios and services.
Trusted Advisor
Acts as the voice of the partner and internal advocate, joining the Strategic Technology Advisory/Planning groups of partners and contributing with insights that influence the technology roadmaps and investments towards Microsoft.Demand Generation :
Present to target join customer audiences to drive interest in Microsoft copilots and Azure AI.Strategy Formulation
Provides analysis of overall partner needs in alignment towards Microsoft’s technology priorities and advises on gaps that would benefit from Microsoft solutions as part of Industry solution mapping and capacity planning, ensures execution of technology strategy and digital transformation, and creates mid-term and long-term technical and business roadmaps.Owner of the Partner’s business solutions evolvement
The Technical owner of Partner’s Business Solutions evolvement and its success, and responsible to grow and protect the Microsoft share of wallet by skilling plans & launch customers wins.Education & Thought Leadership
Uses existing and new readiness resources and demonstrates expertise in creating enablement plans for partners and provides expertise and is sought out by the Microsoft community at the global level.
Envisions the importance of Partner-to-Partner (P2P) motions for better together strategies among different partners and partner types.
Partner & Industry Insights
Synthesizes and combines various business insights to conduct forecasting and develop recommendations.
Understands market trends, market opportunities, compliance by reading, attending webinars, conferences delivered by Industry thought leaders such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 3+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience
OR bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 4+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience
OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of related experience in technology solutions/practice development, Cloud/Infrastructure technologies
Experience working for a Microsoft global services partner and understanding the impact of partner ecosystem for Cloud Business.
Ability to leverage Build and Modernize AI Apps Solution play assets to support joint sales pursuits.
In-depth knowledge of Azure AI services and M365 copilot
Partner Technology Strategy IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
