JOB SUMMARY:The Intensive In-Home Services Program provides services to familiesinvolved in the formal social services system for abuse, neglect,truancy, and/or delinquency issues. Our program strives to preserve thefamily, reduce out-of-home placements, and aid in reunification wherenecessary. The In-Home team is composed of Parent Mentors, Therapists,Youth Support Specialists, and Substance Abuse Counselors whocollaborate to provide intensive in-home services to families to addresssuch issues including, but not limited to mental health, alcohol/otherdrug abuse, parenting, and family conflict. The Parent Mentor works withparents and families on trauma-informed parenting skills, behaviormodification techniques, anger and stress management, basic life skills,and family budgeting skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARENT MENTOR:Formulate, implement, evaluate and review family treatment plans. Mentorfamilies in accordance with their treatment plans. Exercise judgment tointervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.Provide parenting education, support, and advocacy to program clientelethrough individual, family, and group work. Attend client courtproceedings and provide updates on treatment progress, as required.Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or familyactivities. LOCATION: Office is located in Kenosha with flexibility forhybrid/remote remote. Local travel is required to meet with clientswithin the home. Must be able to meet in-person with clients located inKenosha, WI. SCHEDULE: Hours are varied, but are typically Monday-Fridayduring business hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm, with some evenings toaccommodate the needs of our clients.
