　　Pay Range: $17.16 - $19.22 (min - 12% above min)/hr basedon qualifications and experience*

　　Hours/day: 6 hours

　　Work calendar days: 185 days

　　Duration of position: Remainder of school year

　　SUMMARY:

　　Responsible for assisting the classroom teacher with implementing instructionand/or reinforcing learning skills in one on-one, small, and/or largestudent groups. Assist with preparing classroom materials, administeringtests, grading, taking attendance, completing paperwork, maintainingfiles, documenting student achievement, and/or monitoring students.

　　Description of Job Tasks

　　Assist the classroom teacher with implementing instruction and reinforcinglearning skills in one-on-one, small, and/or large student groups.Implement and support the teacher's instruction plan.

　　Assist teacher in preparing classroom materials, administering tests,grading, taking attendance, completing paperwork, maintaining files,and/or documenting student achievement.

　　Monitor students in classroom and during breaks, lunch, recess, timeouts, on field trips, getting on and off the bus, etc. Reinforceschool-wide discipline procedures.

　　Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.

　　Assist teacher and/or administration with special projects.

　　Attend appropriate in-services, building meetings, training, IEPmeetings, parent conferences, and/or school functions.

　　Administer state testing (TCAP) in small groups.

　　Perform other duties as assigned.

　　EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES:

　　High school diploma or equivalent

　　One year of related experience

　　Experience working with students in a school setting preferred

　　Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable

　　Criminal background check required for hire
