System One has partnered with an established law firm in Fayetteville, AR, in their search for a Paralegal. The ideal candidate will have a Paralegal certification, litigation, and transactional experience. Health law experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Retrieve, organize, and index documents
Has familiarity with basic pleadings, discovery, and service of process requirements
Perform legal research and compile applicable data; create and maintain internal case databases
Work with attorneys in the preparation and filing of court documents; organize interview memos, witness statements, and other relevant documents for attorney review
Organize exhibits, files, and other supporting documents; coordinate trial set-up and logistics
Tracking and entering billable time into billing software and assist attorneys with client billing
Receive and respond to government subpoena requests
Receive and respond to medical records requests; organize and index medical records
Additional clerical tasks as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience required
Paralegal certification required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Prior complex litigation experience and corporate experience strongly preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs; experience with Adobe and iManage (or similar) preferred
Must be comfortable with eBilling and law firm billing procedures
Possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize simultaneous demands, effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, be reliable and punctual, have attention to detail, and function well in a fast-paced environment
