Description
Plaintiff PI Litigation Paralegal
Oakland fast-paced, results-oriented law firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our litigation efforts, ensuring efficient case management, and providing exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant case law and statutes.
Draft and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents.
Assist with client intake, including interviewing clients and gathering essential information.
Organize and maintain detailed case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date.
Schedule and coordinate appointments, depositions, and hearings.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Utilize legal software and case management systems to manage case workflow.
Prepare and manage litigation budgets and expenses.
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including gathering evidence and preparing exhibits.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in personal injury litigation.
Discovery and calendaring skills REQUIRED.
Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Familiarity with medical terminology a plus.
