The position is also responsible fortroubleshooting and maintaining the equipment, for ordering paints andsupplies and for directing paint projects through the department. JobResponsibilities & Essential Functions of the Job: Mix and prepare paintcomponents to the proper ratios Maintain and operate spray painting gunto paint parts and structures per department schedule. Maintain andoperate gun washer. Maintain and operate recycling still. Keepspaperwork for still including paint usage. Maintain all paint equipmentto include cleaning and performing regular required maintenance Keepinventory of paint and paint supplies and order inventory as necessary.Provides input into new paint procedures and techniques. Helps intraining new employees to the department. Prepare parts for paintingincluding washing and taping, and loading Job Requirements: Requireseducation generally equivalent to a High School Diploma. Preferred 1-3years of relevant painting experience. Requires mathematical skills thatrequire the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and calculateratios. Requires good oral and written communication skills in order tointeract with employees. Must be able to collaborate with others(including in person) to proactively develop solutions. Primary WasteHandler Ability to safely handle, store, label, and dispose of allhazardous waste streams. Able to keep accurate records of waste materialhandled. Able to conduct weekly inspections of all waste handlingequipment to ensure safe operation of waste operations. Able to properlylabel and manage hazardous waste containers in the 90-day accumulationand satellite accumulation areas. Able to safely and properlyload/unload incoming raw materials and waste materials. Notifies otherplant authorities, as necessary, in emergency situations. Able tocomplete hazardous waste manifests. Physical Requirements: ProtectiveClothing Required: The incumbent will utilize gloves, a Tyvek suit andan air-assisted hood, respirator, safety shoes, safety glasses andhearing protection as needed while performing work assignments.
