　　Job Description

　　Position Title:

　　Packline Technician

　　Department:

　　Packaging Department

　　FLSA Status:

　　Hourly

　　Position Summary:

　　Pack products for Fontana Fasteners customers.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Set up Robot and Palletizer equipment following training standards provided by the equipment vendor.

　　Set up equipment grippers to specific job requirements.

　　Safely operate all mobile equipment in the facility.

　　Perform quality checks before packing product.

　　Read bin cards to correctly process products.

　　Set up scales for accurate counting of products.

　　Scan bin cards to transfer information into computer system.

　　Make sure labels are correctly printed and placed on cartons.

　　Follow instructions and process job specific requirements.

　　Place correct pallets at the end of the pack lines ensuring both domestic and export requirements are met.

　　Check first and last box of each job to ensure correct parts are packed.

　　Maintain cleanliness standards.

　　Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times.

　　Skills & Abilities:

　　Able to operate robotic equipment.

　　Ability to read, understand and follow instructions.

　　Good math skills required.

　　Ability to gage product using correct tools.

　　Ability to operate mobile equipment, such as stand up forklift equipment.

　　Good working knowledge of Windows based application and company specific software.

　　Education:

　　High School Diploma or GED required.

　　Experience:

　　Experience with Familiarity with warehousing processes and procedures. Experience using mobile equipment.

　　Working Conditions:

　　Work is performed in a warehouse environment. Standing is required as well as use of stand up forklift equipment. Must be willing to work overtime as well as weekends and holidays, as needed.
