Minimum/Required Qualifications An earned advanced degree focused onfurniture design, woodturning, wood sculpture, Wood Science, Industrialor Product Design, or a closely related field. Applicants may fulfilthis requirement with an earned PhD, or with an earned, terminalmaster\'s degree that included emphasis on wood arts and/or wood design.Experience developing and delivering wood arts-specific curricula tosecondary and post-secondary learners. Demonstrated commitment tostudent success, evidenced through student advising or pedagogicalexcellence. Demonstrated proficiency in woodworking and product design,including the use of relevant software and tools. Experience developingan active research program, including writing proposals forcompetitively funded grants or experience securing contract income (suchas might be done for custom build projects, designs, designs, public artinstallations, or funded solo exhibitions, etc.) Life experiences,training, professional activity, and/or education that demonstrate acommitment to promoting the values and mission articulated in theCollege of Forestry\'s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Strategic Planand OSU\'s Prosperity Widely Shared plan. Demonstrated potential tocontribute to the body of professional knowledge on pedagogicalapproaches or wood design/wood art research. Effective interpersonal andcommunication skills (written and verbal) enabling collaboration with abroad spectrum of students, teachers, researchers, and industrialprofessionals. A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancingdiversity Position Duties 75% \' Instruction/Teaching: Teach and/ordevelop approximately 22 credits per year, which may includegraduate-level courses. 15% \' Research/Scholarship: Conduct researchand scholarship. 10% \' Service: Participate in departmental, college,and university level affairs and governance, including leadership incurriculum and program development.
