Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor\'s degree in (specific area ofbiological science) and two years of experience related to the area ofassignment at a Biological Science Research Technician 2 level. Threeadditional years of experience related to the area of assignment at theBiological Science Research Technician 2 level may be substituted forthe Bachelor\'s degree. Additional Required Qualifications Botany,ecology, or range science classes and a BA/BS degree in the biologicalsciences. Three additional years of experience related to the area ofassignment at the Biological Science Research Technician 2 level may besubstituted for the Bachelor\'s degree. At least 4 months (1 fieldseason) of experience collecting vegetation data in the field. Knowledgeof Oregon flora and geography desired, with the ability to learnessential. Position Duties 65% \' Collect BLM Terrestrial Assessment,Inventory and Monitoring (AIM) program soils and vegetation data usingAIM protocols in the field and lead two crews in collecting this data.15% \' Work with INR Data Management Staff to ensure the AIM data getsneeded QA-QC and is incorporated into needed databases and provided tothe BLM. 10% \' Drive throughout field area and navigate with maps andGPS to unique or typical habitats or preselected points. 10% \' Hike tooff-road sites, identify plants and plant communities.
