JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assist Pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical servicesat Amery Hospital & Clinic, Hudson Hospital, and Westfield\'s Hospital &Clinic as scheduled. Accountabilities/Duties: Complies with state andfederal regulations regarding non-pharmacist limitations. Complies withall hospital-wide policies and departmental policies. Acceptsresponsibility for personal safety and safety of others. Purchases andreturns pharmaceuticals and supplies as needed. Verifies order receivedmatches the order sent. Notifies pharmacist when there is a discrepancyCorrectly places items into pharmacy stock. Assists in maintainingperpetual inventory of all schedule II drugs. Stocks pharmacy withsupplies from purchasing and miscellaneous vendors when needed. Assistsin accountability and security of all medications. Accurately packagesbulk supplies into unit dose containers and labels accordingly.Accurately fills and labels prescriptions. Ability to use personalcomputer and printer, calculator, and/or miscellaneous compoundingequipment. Does not dispense any legend pharmaceutical products to anypatient. Makes suggestions to Pharmacy Manager regarding improvement ofservices including suggestions and information received from customers.Demonstrates awareness of all customers. Attempts to meet and exceed allcustomer needs. Interacts and provides assistance in a respectfulmanner, considerate of age and physical abilities (i.e. sight andhearing needs). This includes answering the telephone promptly and in aprofessional manner. Participates in departmental quality improvementactivities. Helps formulate annual departmental plan. Participates ineducational activities to keep knowledge current (i.e. meetings,programs, read current literature, etc). Performs miscellaneous dutiesas assigned by Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist. Files prescriptionsand other pharmacy forms correctly Demonstrates ability to plan,prioritize, and accomplish work, sets and meets goals, follows through,and maximizes efficiency of department.Demonstrates ability to get alongwith others, has effective interpersonal skills, is aware of impact ofself on others, and maintains communication within department and otherdepartments.
